New York Apple Association

In addition to talent scouting, location wrangling, script writing, propping and food styling, I even made an apple pie for a shoot!

01 — Project details

The goal was to build awareness of the New York Apple Association and provide consumers with the latest information regarding NY grown apples, pick-your-own orchards, and delicious apple recipes all housed within an aesthetically pleasing website.

02 — Creative process

We listened to the client and throughly reviewed her wishlist before diving into the creation of the site. In tandem with site development, we also researched & refined existing recipes, created & styled new recipes, and shot new videos and photography, incorporating the very best of New York State apples.

When we started working with NYAA, there were only 1,200 followers with very little interaction. We increased FB engagement by including tasty recipes, fun apple facts, and sweepstakes to win apple-related items. Today there are more than 47K followers.

We created new recipes with fresh and unexpected ingredients. Below is just a sampling of a few of the appetizers and salads I developed. To see the full collection of recipes, click below.

We increased the number of recipes from 38 to more than 300 and created fresh takes to show that apples weren't just for snacking anymore.

We boosted engagement on NYAA's social media pages, increased newsletter sign-ups, and enhanced overall site visits by introducing recipe videos and targeted ads.
